MedFlight based out of Joplin, MO and Parsons, KS, provides essential lifesaving services in Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. MedFlight is the first air medical service in the state of Arkansas to carry blood products in a pre-hospital setting, to have obtained approval to perform Rapid Sequence Intubation in the field and to transport Aortic-Ballon Pumps. During missions, highly trained medical teams care for patients with lifesaving interventions to significantly improve patient outcomes. These interventions include providing advanced trauma care such as blood products administration; advanced airway intervention; cardiac/hemodynamic monitoring; ventilator management; vasoactive medication administration and titration; and advanced surgical procedures.
