Air Methods’ USA SouthFlight Program Announces Community Partnership with Greene County, MS Share On... by Air Methods posted September 17, 2025 County residents now guaranteed emergency air transport coverage through agreement GREENE COUNTY, MS, September 17, 2025 – Air Methods’ USA SouthFlight program, located in Semmes, AL, has entered into a new one-year community partnership agreement with Greene County, Mississippi, bringing affordable, life-saving air medical transport to the county’s approximately 13,000 residents. “Having quick access to air medical transport can make a critical difference in emergency situations,” said Trent Robertson, Greene County Emergency Management Agency Director. “We’re grateful to Air Methods for bringing this service to our community and helping us keep our residents safe.” Through this partnership, Greene County residents will not face out-of-pocket costs for emergency air medical transport—whether insured or uninsured. Instead, Air Methods will work directly with patients’ insurance providers, and the county will cover only the remaining cost-sharing amounts, subject to an agreed-upon cap. This model eases the financial burden on individuals while ensuring that all residents have access to critical care when emergencies occur. “With the nearest Level I trauma center more than an hour away, rapid air transport can truly mean the difference between life and death,” said Cory Dickerson, Air Methods Account Executive. “Greene County’s decision to enter this partnership ensures residents have an essential lifeline in emergencies—without the worry of financial hardship.” In addition to emergency air transport, the partnership also allows Air Methods and Greene County to collaborate on community health and education events, further strengthening the county’s emergency preparedness and health resources. Air Methods’ USA SouthFlight team consists of highly skilled clinicians and pilots, ready to deliver expert care when every minute matters. The crew responds to a wide range of emergencies and carry blood for use at the scene or in flight, a resource proven to improve survival in critical cases. Crews are also equipped with the ZOLL AutoPulse® NXT device, which delivers uninterrupted, high-quality chest compressions during flight, freeing clinicians to provide other life-saving interventions for patients in cardiac arrest.
