LifeNet South Carolina is a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) air ambulance that serves the states of South Carolina and portions of North Carolina and Georgia. LifeNet South Carolina operates from four South Carolina bases outside of Greenville and Columbia. Two of LifeNet’s bases have advanced avionics technology that allow the helicopters to fly using Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) during certain inclement weather patterns and transport more patients.
