Air Methods Products Division Awarded Follow-On Production and Spares Contract for Stryker Medical Evacuation Vehicle

DENVER, June 6, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq: AIRM), announced today that its Products Division has received a contract from General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) for continuing production of Patient Litter Systems and spares for the Stryker Medical Evacuation Vehicle (MEV).

"The Stryker MEV has proven itself as an effective asset in Iraq to quickly treat and transport injured personnel out of harm's way to a medical treatment facility or to a secure location for air evacuation," said Art Torwirt, Vice President. The contract calls for 27 vehicle sets and associated spares valued at approximately $1.6 million. Deliveries are currently underway and expected to be completed by August 2007.

To date, Air Methods Products Division has delivered more than 100 Patient Litter Systems to GDLS for the Stryker MEV program.
