Just call 1 toll free number and provide us with some basic information..... We will take care of the rest. 

  • When you call the Transfer Center, the Coordinator will gather basic patient information, including the patients name, reason for transfer, referring MD and referring hospital.
  • The referring MD will be asked 2 simple questions, "Is this referral an emergency medical condition?" and "Does your facility have the capability or capacity to handle this patient?"
  • The Coordinator will then page the on-call physician for the requested service and conference the physicians for report.   
  • All communication is on a recorded line.
  • If the patient is accepted, the Coordinator will arrange for transportation, fax over any necessary paperwork to the receiving hospital, coordinate nurse report and secure a bed.  
  • The Coordinators will always call the sending facility back to notify them once the patient has arrived safely.
